Hello everyone:
Today I`m going to talk about an article of religious art called "image and devotion" in MNBA in Chile (Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes) This is an exposition called "image and devotion".
The exposition was divided into five topics, with the fundamental subjects of European and American religious painting, treated at different times and representing different artistic styles. The first area: Devotion, belief in shape realizes, in an introductory way, expressions and devotional themes. The second area is the dual nature, corresponds to pictures displaying the figure of Christ in the first cycle of his life. The third area is the Passion cycle, favorite subject for artists of all ages. The fourth theme is the body's grace, displaying a selection of representation, at different times, of the Virgin Mary. The last subject is the saints.

I choose this theme because I think that religion is very important in art history, especially in Chile and South America, were a lot people is Catholic or Christians and these themes are the principal artistic inspiration in this part of the world.
